Volunteer Opportunities - Recreation and Parks

Our many volunteers make a valuable contribution by supporting Recreation and Parks programs. Would you like to join us?

Volunteer opportunities are available in many areas including pre-school and youth programs, sports, senior adult programs, natural resources, outdoor recreation, special events and Conservation Stewardship.

To volunteer with Howard County Recreation and Parks, you must:  

• Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent and adult supervision(ages 13-17)
• Complete the Volunteer Application and Agreement form
• Be a good role model with a positive attitude
• If age 18-over, complete a Background Release Form, if required for the position

If you are volunteering for an event or a one-time volunteer opportunity, please complete the Event Application: Online Form | Fillable PDF 

If the program that you are volunteering for requires a background check you will receive an email from ApplicantSubmission@Kroll.com - the company that processes our background checks. The background checks are now completed on-line on a secured site.

Robinson Nature Center Volunteers 

If you would like to volunteer at the Robinson Nature Center please complete the RNC Volunteer Application
